One always talk about the 13th district being the Parisian Chinatown. But I think some areas in Paris bring us closer to India than others to China. Passage Brady, near Strasbourg Saint Denis is one of those areas. There are curry fragrances, colorful and glittery fabrics and lots of restaurants lovely kitschy.
I cannot tell if the restaurant Reine du Kashmir it the best restaurant of the place, I’m not really an expert in Indian food. It’s card mention that it won the gold cup of Indian gastronomy in 1999 (if you know what that is, I could’nt find information on the topic). Anyway food is good and the rice is perfectly cooked, which is a good indicator. Service is nice and company was good, all the ingredients for a nice evening.
M* chose a biryani, M* took a menu and I ordered korma lamb. We had as well the not so indian but sooo delicious cheese nans and a few dips to accompany. We finished the evening gossiping until late, sipping a honorable cardamom tea.
And the bill? Very affordable as the each of us paid around 20€.
