I like staying in Paris in August. There are less people at work, and subsequently much less emails and meetings. There are less people in the subway, less people in the streets. Paris almost becomes a quiet town (and I said almost). Lucky me, my friends like also to stay in Paris in August, and we decided to take advandage of this to eat in a nice restaurant. Yes I here you, you in the back: restaurants are also closed in August. True. But not all of them. In fact, not this very nice address which was judiciously proposed by J*.
Au jardin is a fine neighborhood restaurant and every thing there is cooked at the restaurants. Menus are quite cheap, with a three course menu costing 31€ and the dishes have a classical inspiration with a pinch of originality which makes you want some more. I didn’t take pictures of all my friends plates but we all ate well and anyway I always chose what’s best. hum.
I started with a home made half-cooked foie gras, served with tomato chutney and a spice brioche that i’d qualify with wahou.
I continued with curry/paprika veal medallions, together with an upside down pie of candied vegetables.
It was good, company was good, we can go back when you want !
